About this role

We’re Hiring: Data Center Operations Assistant Fresher | North Guwahati
We are looking for a fresher / junior-level person to help with day-to-day onsite operations at the NCXHost Data Center in North Guwahati.

This is not an engineering role, and we are not looking for an experienced System Administrator.

We need someone who spends time with computers, understands basic computer hardware, can follow technical instructions carefully, and is interested in learning about servers and data center operations.

What you’ll mainly do:
*Monitor basic server alerts and notifications
*Check physically if a server is powered on/off
*Power on, shut down or reboot servers when instructed
*Check server lights, cables and basic hardware status
*Inform the technical team when a server or device appears down
*Help identify the correct server/rack when support is required
*Perform simple onsite checks requested by our remote/server team
*Maintain basic records of work performed
*Assist with routine data center activities

You will not be expected to troubleshoot complex server, networking or hardware problems on Day 1. Our technical team will guide you, and you will gradually learn more about servers, networking, virtualization and data center infrastructure.

*Degrees and certifications are not our main priority. Practical interest in computers, responsibility and willingness to learn matter more.
