After ordering a VPS from NCXHost, your VPS may ask you to complete the Ubuntu Server installation manually.
Do not worry. This is normal for some VPS installations. You can complete it from your browser using noVNC from the NCXHost Client Area.
This guide will show you the steps in a simple way.
Before You Start #
Please keep these details ready:
IPv4 Address:
You will receive your VPS IPv4 address by email after order confirmation.
IPv6 Address:
NCXHost supports IPv6 on all hosting plans. To enable IPv6 on your server, please contact support or open a ticket.
Gateway:
103.255.134.1
Netmask / Subnet:
255.255.254.0
For Ubuntu Server installation screen, use this format:
103.255.134.0/23
DNS Resolver:
You can use:
103.255.134.1
Or public DNS servers like:
Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1
Google DNS: 8.8.8.8
Step 1: Login to NCXHost Client Area #
Go to:
Login using your registered email address and password.
Step 2: Open Your VPS Service #
After login, go to your active VPS service.
Open the VPS service page where you can manage your server.
Step 3: Open noVNC Console #
Inside the VPS service page, find the noVNC / HTML5 Console option.
Click on Launch noVNC.
This will open your VPS screen directly in your browser
Step 4: Start Ubuntu Server Installation #
Once noVNC opens, you will see the Ubuntu Server installation screen.
Use your keyboard to move around:
- Use Arrow keys to move
- Use Enter to select
- Use Tab to move between buttons
- Select Done to continue to the next step
Step 5: Select Language and Keyboard #
Choose your preferred language.
For keyboard, you can usually keep the default option as English (US) unless you use a different keyboard layout.
Select Done to continue.
Step 6: Configure Network #
This is the most important step.
On the Network Connections screen, you will see a network interface like:
ens2
Sometimes the name can be different, such as ens3, ens18, or similar.
Select the network interface and press Enter.
Then select:
Edit IPv4
Step 7: Change IPv4 from Automatic to Manual #
By default, IPv4 may be set to Automatic (DHCP).
Change it to:
Manual
After selecting Manual, you will see fields for:
- Subnet
- Address

- Search domains
Step 8: Enter IPv4 Network Details #
Fill the fields like this:

Please remember this username and password. You will need it to login to your server later.
Step 12: SSH Setup #
If the installer asks about SSH, you can select:

This allows you to connect to your server using SSH after installation.
Step 13: Finish Installation #
